Our Process

Goal Setting & Planning
We begin our golf performance plan by discovering what it takes to help make you a better golfer. Whether you are just getting started and want to lay down a strong foundation or are a professional golfer looking to sharpen a more dependable game under pressure, our process is the same for all.
Movement Assesment
The first and most important step of our assessment is your Movement Assessment. In this assessment we will look at how you move and see what movement options exist way before holding on to a golf club. We look at global movements like how you squat, touch your toes, etc. to look at each joint in the body from your feet and ankles all the way to your wrists. This information allows us to see what rotational options your body will be most reliant on when it comes to moving fast when hitting a golf ball. If you struggle with things like inconsistent club paths, flipping at the ball etc. Starting with how your body balances out all of these rotational forces is the best place to start. Owning your swing AND your body is the path to success.


Boditrak Pressure Mapping
Then we start looking at how you move your body via the ground. Using Pressure mapping technology, our golfers swing on our pressure mat that tells us how you move your body in the golf swing by putting pressures/forces into the ground. We will look at everything from set up in the golf swing to how you put pressure into the ground to move your body. This allows us to see things like too much weight on the toes/heels, too much weight on the right or left leg at the wrong time in the swing, so we can calibrate the best possible strategy to rotate your body that is right for you.
3D Motion Capture Assessment
Next we will dive even deep into 3D motion capture. This is where we utilize sensors that are placed on your body to see in real time what is happening when you swing the golf club. This technology shows us your kinematic sequencing in the golf and even to the degree of how much your pelvis rotates on the backswing or impact. This is the final step that puts the puzzle pieces together on your golf swing.


Intervention
The final step is putting all of this together. Now that we know the movement options that exist for your golf swing, how you use the ground to move your body, and what rotational sequences exist in your golf swing, there is a clear path to improvement. The best part is that a lot of the things that can help your golf game can be done at home or in the gym! We will clearly identify a couple of things to work on with this information and get right into intervention whether it's doing a few exercises, stretches, or things to consider when working on the range. If you work with a swing instructor already, even better! We can share all of our findings with any golf instructor and we would even love for them to be a part of your assessment.
